On the afternoon of September 9^th, the School of Foreign Studies convened a general meeting of all the faculty and staff in the 206 Lecture Hall of the Faculty Building, which was presided over by Vice Dean Ma Ying.

First of all, Wang Gaozu, Secretary of the Party Committee, conveyed the spirit of “Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and The State Council on Carrying forward the Spirit of Educationists and Strengthening the Construction of High-quality and Professional Teachers in the New Era”. He explained in detail the position appointment situation of the college in 2024-2027 and the performance adjustment situation of the whole year, summarized the preliminary work and deployed the subsequent key work of the college, and expressed his expectation that the college staff would carry out the requirements of the university's summer cadres meeting, benchmark the first-class academic disciplines, comprehensively implement the college's target responsibility system and the employment period position task, and make contribution for the high-quality development of the college.

After that, Dean Sun Yu conveyed the spirit of the university's new semester middle-level cadres meeting, led the participants to deeply study President Song Baowei's special report and Secretary Li Yanrong's speech, and combined with the requirements of the university and the college's development needs, arranged and deployed the key work of the college for the new semester. She pointed out that according to the requirements of the school to accelerate the realization of the “127” goal, the college should grasp the key indicators, concentrate everyone’s strength, and implement each target.

In the end, personnel matters related to the college were read out, including new faculty members, assistant deans, and section-level cadres, etc.

At the beginning of the new semester, this meeting conveyed the spirit of the university's important speeches, made clear the development direction of the college's key work in the new semester and the implementation of initiatives, played the affection of morale-boosting, cohesive consensus, and identified the correct position.
